Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 19:14 NLT May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.
May the words-
Too often my friends, we read the words of His book such as this and allow condemnation to enter our hearts. This isn’t the intent of God’s word… there is NO condemnation for Gods Children! [Romans 8:1]
Rather this is a prayer asking God to cause us, change us, transform us into new creations in Christ… so much so that our words and our thoughts (for our words are birthed by our thoughts) are pleasing to our Father.
We’ve tried, haven’t we? We’ve tried to be good, to honor God with our lives, yet our earthly life still gets in the way, and we recognize that there’s no way we can ever have minds and mouths which are truly pleasing to Him… except there is One Way… when we are covered by Jesus. [Galatians 3:27]
Friends, because we believe and accept Jesus as our Lord… our words and even our thoughts are clean, purified by His blood, and our praise is pleasing to our Father, because He loves us!
Thank you, Lord, for making us pure in Your sight, and so making us pleasing to You. Such a wonderful gift Father… thank You Jesus!
