Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:11 NLT “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”
Lives in you –
Do you see it? That first sentence. No if, ands, or buts… God Spirit lives in You and Me! Not a part of God’s spirit, not a tiny bit, but the entire Spirit of God… lives in you and me!
My friends, we are His people! His chosen children. And because we are… He has placed within each of us, He gives us Life… life in this mortal body… by the same Spirit of God living within you and me.
Most of us understand that at our physical death, the essence of life, ‘the spirit’ we call it, leaves the flesh behind. the flesh remains, is buried, or burned, like so much trash… but with a bit more respect… the end is the same… discarded, abandoned, left behind.
Yet, we believe that the spirit of man lives on… and because God’s spirit raised Christ from the dead, in this same way God’s spirit will raise us from the dead and bring us to eternal life with Christ in the presence of God… and not Only then, on that ‘someday’… but now!
Today! God’s spirit lives in you and me… not biding His time till he can act, but ready and willing today, now! to live in and through us, to speak through us, to bless, guide, and use us to bring glory and honor to our God and Father! This same Spirit is alive in you and me… NOW!
Father thank You for the amazing gifts You have given us. You’ve saved us, bought us, claimed us, adopted us, and even placed within us Your Spirit. Truly You are ever with Your children!
