Today’s Encouragement is Romans 8:6 NLT “So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.”
Leads to life and peace –
God’s Holy Spirit is present in the life of every believer. Some of us welcome Him, some of us ignore Him. He speaks to each of us, and some listen, and some ignore.
We allow either our own sinful nature to lead, direct, control our lives, words, and actions, or we allow the Holy Spirit to lead, direct and control our lives, words and actions.
My friends, there are no other choices. We are either led by the Holy Spirit of our Father God, or by our sinful nature.
We can recognize in ourselves, or in another person the mind which is controlled by God’s Spirit by the results of that person’s life, their ‘fruit’ as explained in Galatians 5:22-23a NLT But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We let, allow, permit, encourage, agree with, the Holy Spirit’s control of our mind, or we do not. It is a choice.
Father help us to let Your Spirit control our minds, that we may have life and peace.
