Today’s Encouragement is John 14:27 NLT “I [Jesus] am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
The peace I give-
Peace is a gift that Jesus gives us. It is His peace not our own, we don’t generate it, earn it, or cause it…. It is a Peace beyond human understanding (Phil 4:7)
This Peace rules over our hearts and our minds, and we do not have to be worried or afraid… ever, of anyone or anything. Never afraid! Because the Peace of God has already been given to us by Jesus, as a free gift!
Friends, by way of an example, it’s as if we have a debit card to a 10-billion-dollar bank account in our hands! It’s just a piece of plastic if we don’t USE it! And in the same way, the Peace of Christ is even more available to us! But we must accept it, this gift, we must access it, we must ‘use’ it in order to receive God’s intended blessing of peace of heart and mind.
Where are we looking? At our empty wallet, our worries, our fears, our needs, all the troubles of this world? Or are we looking to Him, the Author and Perfector of our faith, Jesus Christ who overcame death, who set us free from sin and death to live victoriously in this life and for eternity! When we consider Jesus, what He has done already for us, what He will do for us now and in the future, the incredible gifts, and blessings He has poured out on us… and so much more! Then my friends, there is nothing to fear, there is only His perfect Peace!
Father grant us a full measure of Your perfect Peace this Fay and always, as we look upon the glory of our resurrected Lord Jesus, it is in His Name we ask.
