Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 73:26 NLT My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
God remains –
Have you ever thought, ‘But what if I fail You, God?’ What if, despite my best intentions, my best efforts, I am not able to resist temptation, or speak up for Your Name, or share Your Love when others need it, or otherwise remain true to You when the going gets rough? What if I ‘fail You’ God?
First, my friend, it is good for us to want to serve Him, and to want to not ever ‘fail Him’. This comes from a sincere heart, one which longs to please, honor, and demonstrate Love to our Loving Father.
Second, we will! We will all ‘fail God’ in the sense of being unable, at times, to do His best in certain circumstances, failing to speak up for Him, provide hope and strength to other in need of Him. At times, we will fail; but my friend… At times, we will also succeed! And each time we do succeed, is a gift from God both to us, and to others!
And when our own strength fails, our health and spirits both falter… God Remains! He Himself is our strength. He is our Rock our foundation. His Grace covers, even erases our failures, and He is always victorious!
Father help us to recognize that it is not our strength but Yours that sustains us. And You are our God forever!
