Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 50:14-15 NLT “Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God and keep the vows you made to the Most High. [15] Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”
Make thankfulness your sacrifice-
A grateful heart, faithfulness (keep your vows) and prayer (call on me) and God responds – I WILL rescue you!
God doesn’t need nor desire for us to sacrifice something. Jesus was and remains the perfect sacrifice, once for all time… nothing we can give or give up could ever compare…. Even before Jesus’ sacrificial death (and hope-filled resurrection!) God was making clear that Gratitude to God was, and now remains an appropriate, acceptable sacrifice.
When we focus on gratitude for what we DO already have… not focusing on what we Do Not have… our perspective changes. We then can become genuinely grateful to God for the blessings we DO have. First of all – our salvation! And after that my friends… nothing else really matters!
Father help us to recognize how Good You have always been to us! Help us to bring a sacrifice of thankfulness and gratitude to You Lord. For You alone are Good!
