Today’s Encouragement is Luke 8:10 He said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’
To you it has been given –
Jesus said this to his disciples… and it applies to all of us who believe in Jesus. The gift of knowing the secrets of God’s kingdom… has been given to us!
Those who believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior have been granted this gift, an understanding, a knowledge, eyes to see the Truth of the Gospel. If we didn’t ‘know the secrets’, we wouldn’t believe.
To us is granted understanding! We might think, “But what are these secrets of God’s kingdom that are revealed to me?” What may seem obvious, clear, and not secret at all to us as believers… is concealed, and often considered nonsense to those who do not believe.
Just to name a few… these secrets include God’s Love is unlimited, Jesus is His Son, Jesus is God, there’s a Holy Spirit, fully God as well as the Father and Son and He lives with in us. We can live in God’s Perfect Peace in this life, we have eternal life, we are Loved immeasurably, forgiven completely, reborn, given a new heart, loving His people and loving God… these secrets of the Kingdom and infinitely more… are Truth to us… and sadly are nonsense to the ones who do not believe.
Father God thank You for the Truth which You have revealed to us as Your children. Thank You for choosing us to be Yours. Help us to have grateful hearts for all You are, have done and will do.
