Today’s Encouragement is Romans 15:30 “I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf”
Together with me –
He is asking for his fellow believers to pray with him, and for him, earnestly, striving. And to do so together.
Friends, when we come together, (physically or spiritually) in prayer, agreeing, and earnestly communicating with God over a shared concern… there is power. It’s not ‘magic’, it doesn’t cause God to hear because there’s lots of noise, but there is something powerful about a group of His children praying for one thing. We are a community, a family of believers. We are not incomplete on our own, but we are ‘more complete’ as a united family… agreeing in prayer to Our One Father.
A shared prayer request becomes a mission… a goal… a heartfelt desire expressed to God by His children. We come together to bring Him our mutual needs and desires.
How can I pray with you? Would you consider asking others that same question? Would you consider writing it down so you can be faithful to ‘strive together’ with them in prayer?
Father help us to do for others, the greatest, most powerful; kindest, most loving thing we can possibly to for them. Help us to pray, and to do so – together.
