Today’s Encouragement is 1 Timothy 1:16 “But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.”
As an example –
Is it possible that God’s purposes are not singular?
Not just to save Paul, but to serve as an example of Gods perfect patience to ALL those who believe in Jesus! God’s work, actions, thoughts are not like ours, single minded, selfish, simple… but everything God does is multi-faceted, complex, and to our limited human minds… truly incomprehensible.
This passage has opened my eyes to a new level of faith and awe of God. Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. [9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
My friends, God doesn’t act according to our human level of knowledge and understanding. While we cannot understand all of God… we can grow to partially understand what He has revealed to us through Jesus, like His immeasurable Love for us. The rest my friends, we accept by Faith.
Father God, open our minds and hearts to grasp a little bit more of how Awesome, how Amazing, how Unlimited You are.
Our God is an Awesome God
