Today’s Encouragement is Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
Pure words –
Seems we don’t find much in this world anymore that we can call pure. Is there Pure water, any pure motives, pure hearts?
God’s word IS Pure my friends. Just as Jesus, the Word of God in human flesh, was and IS still pure! We can rely on, trust in, rest in, hope in the Word of God; that is, Jesus- the word made flesh, and the written word of God, our Bible as the pure truth.
When you examine silver carefully, you can possibly determine the degree of purity, sometimes with the naked eye, or a magnifying glass, or with more specific testing. So too with God’s word, examine it through diligent study, put it to the test by relying on its truth, His truth. And we will find God’s word, both written and incarnate, is Pure. There is no flaw, no contamination, mistake, nor deception in God’s word, nor in the living Word, Jesus.
Now consider this with me… since we have this source of Pure words, Pure truth, Pure wisdom… why would we look elsewhere?
Thank You Father for the purity of the written word and the Living Word – Jesus. Help us build our faith upon the Pure truth which You have given us.
