For my own sake

Today’s Encouragement is Isaiah 43:25 “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”

For My own sake –

God speaks to His children here, centuries before Jesus came, and He tells us:

  • I blot out your sins – no erasers back in the day… only way to remove something which had been written… blot it out, cover it with ink so that the writing could no longer be discerned…. as with Jesus’ blood covering our sin…
  • for my own sake – What, for God’s own sake, He blots out our sins?  Why not for our sake, in order to save us?  Is it possible, that because He loves us so, and because our sin keeps us separated from Him, running, hiding from Him, as Adam did in Eden, that God provided a way to blot out our sins, in order that… we might be with Him, yes, but also… in order that He might be with us!  For His own sake, He blots out your sin and mine… so that HE can be blessed by having a pure relationship with Us!?  is it possible?
  • Finally, my friends, we need to remember… that God will NOT remember our sins!

All our sin – blotted out and forgotten… For His own sake!

Father God you are so good to us, so kind.  Thank you for grace, for forgiveness, and for Jesus.

    1. I believe that the Bible is full of great wisdom, un-mined truths. His Holy Spirit reveals these to us. It’s exciting to see it, to find it. And with each such experience… His Glory is increased!

    1. Yes! When we pause and reflect… He truly is amazing, beyond our comprehension… yet, what little portion of Him, His Grace and His Love, that tiny portion which we can comprehend… overwhelms us!
